Ruin Tasks, Divine Artefacts and Museum Buffs
- 15 Aug, 2026
Dark War Survival Season 5 Origin lands introduces several new dynamics and season-related tasks. These have also carried forward to Season 6 Ragnarok. There are 8 Divine Ruins across the season map, each releasing a Ruin Task at reset. You can complete two tasks per day. You should prioritise these in the order that works best for you.
You won’t be able to get much achieved before the first conflict, so I will cover how to max out the power gains and how to speed up healing and improve incoming damage.
Ruin Tasks Explained
8 Divine ruins that cover Attack and Defence buffs for each of the three factions: Fighter, Shooter and Riders. The remaining two reduce battle damage and increase healing speeds. The last two really help mid-season onwards, but initially we want to get our main F1 powered up to help us with Mummies, Corrupted Boomers and Wandering Guards.
You should start progressing your F1 faction first
It’s also important to note that to obtain your Divine Artefact to use in the Museum to activate the associated buff, you need to hit Affinity Level 6 & 10. These release TWO Divine Artefacts, but you need THREE to max each buff. This is important to understand so you don’t waste artefacts and time chasing things you don’t or can’t use.

Ruins Task
F1 Faction
As we have covered, the first goal is to get your two faction temples to level 6 Affinity and gain your first season power-up buffs. Focus on S-level tasks for the quickest progress. Try to match the daily task to your Allied Duel as well as your survivor prep. Some of these tasks are time-consuming, so if you can complete other daily tasks at the same time, it’s a win-win. Getting to 6 within the first week of the season is a good goal to have.
You will have also been pushing your Ancient Relic, which I’m not covering in this post, but if you’ve been active you should now have the first two hero slots unlocked on the Ancient Relic. Stacking your Ruins and Artefact buffs with an additional Season Troop ATk & DEF buff of 80%, March speed buff of 8% and additional curse resistance of 350. I mention this as a reminder to help decide the Temple and Artefact progress. You have a big boost on F1 in the bag, so F2 would benefit from a boost too.
Sobek & Aset
Once you have the first two faction temples at Affinity Level 6, we will move to progress Sobek and Aset. Why? There are two reasons: they increase healing speed by 50% and reduce damage by 5%. The meta in the new season is prolonged battles. Faster healing really saves a lot of speedups. Additionally the effort and time to get to 6 is significantly less than getting to 10 if we continued to push up to 10. We can gain the healing and damage buffs quicker (in 5-7 days depending on your activity) so it pays off faster.
Key Note - when you get any temple to 10 Affinity - it gives you ONE artefact, and you need TWO. So don’t assume once you have done the daily grind to get there it will unlock. It wont. We have to do other temples to get their tokens to recycle.
What’s next?
We have 4 temples at Affinity 6, gained the initial buffs, so whats next? Do you want to push for a boost on your F2 faction? Focus on pushing F1 Temples to 10? This is about how you fight, event achievement expectations and what you already have. I personally get the F2 Faction temples to 6, i have the Ancient Relic buffs for my F1 so F2 Temples to 6 for their first buff. Next, I would get the F1 factions to 10. This will help both with the ever increasingly kinetic fights for territory, pyramids/temples and the big gates battles. Season 6 also sees the return of Trade Posts, always a prolonged battle for scant rewards IMHO.

I now refer back to the reference that you will need “ TWO Artefacts to complete Faction buff upgrade in the museum ”.
There is a hidden recycle feature within the Museum exhibitions. You will need to use this feature to gain max levels on the important buffs. You also need ensure you refresh adjust the Ruins Task from A (purple) to S (gold) level for the quickest progress. You will want your F1 faction ATK & DEF buffs and then healing & Damage reduction as the first priorities.
Summary
The best plan is to focus on the quickest beneficial boosts early in the season. This is the phase your are building altars and increasing the obelisk level. You will be working to hit the biggest Wandering Guards, Mummies and Corrupted Boomers to gain as much obsidian as you can, as soon as possible.
Increasing your F1 power will help with these daily tasks and the early event to win the first temple fight.
The next phase is working on damage reduction and healing speed. The weekly fights will soon become twice weekly. Hitting the highest levels of Wanderings Guards and Mummies is also hard on your troops and healing speeds. Thus we move from F1 faction eg Set & Shu or Nut & Tefnut to Affinity 6, to working on Sobek & Aset.
