Dark War Survival has a range of daily and weekly events to help keep you engaged, growing and progressing. Survivor Preparedness is one such event, with tasks in 4-hour windows that rotate every day. This is your Survivor Prep ultimate guide.
Survivor Preparedness Guide
There are five basic rotating task lists, each with a related set of special resources, speedups or chests to use. Each has a relative points total, so choose wisely and use what you have a lot of. Save your major upgrades to use for Survivor Prep and Alliance Duel events. This ensures you pick up both maximum points for the events and the Alliance Duel you need to hit 2m a day. You also maximise your free loot from each task. These include,
- 21 Precision Parts Per day
- 2 Orange Hero Frags
- 7 Purple Hero Frags
- 350 rubies per day
- 10 Prime Recruit tickets
- 100 Orange Skill Books
There are also purple skill books, a few speedups and some resources. These are all small amounts, so consistency is important for F2P and low-spend players. There are other events you have to work on like this too. Show up, make the effort grab all the free loot you can. It can be very tempting to smash the upgrades you have just bought or have been holding. Patience is the key. Unless you’re a Whale or Kraken-level spender, using your RSS, Frags, Alloys and special items in a controlled, progressive way is key to getting as much free loot as possible. So you perform better in Alliance Duel (the key weekly event in this game), help yourself grow and help your alliance achieve its best ranking and rewards for Alliance Duel

If you prefer to have on-device reminders, you can manually add the events to your calendar app, or grab the Z-War weekly Tracker reminder .ics file - imports to any calendar. Z-War Calendar Reminders
There are events that roll through Saturday and Sunday too; these are on the tracker page, in the ICS calendar file and the Z-War Survivor Prep Discord bot that auto-posts the reminders in your guild.

Weekly/Monthly Pass Boost
If you have this monthly pass subscription, amongst the features it unlocks, it adds the ability to change the Survivor Prep theme. This is another great way to boost your points haul. It’s best to use this for an Alliance Duel boost task; e.g., Mondays are a great day to boost construction of an industrial building using Precision Parts. Use this “extra” bonus theme to improve your rank in the Survivor Prep AND the Alliance Duel events.
When you should “push”
There are times you will want to do a little more than the minimum required to get your task rewards. If you look at the ranking system listed below the tasks and points. You will see ranks 1-10. The first 3 places have “reasonable” rewards; the key one is the Wonder Frag. It’s not worth blowing a whole pile of resources or speedups, but it’s worth just trying to score a few extras if you can pick up the frag.

Z-War Discord App for Survivor Preparedness
The Discord app posts throughout the day as the task changes for each 4-hour window. There is a daily list and each task is highlighted in both Server time (ST) and your local time, given by Discord.

Installing the Discord Survivor Prep Discord app is simple;
Make a public channel, e.g., Survivor-Prep
Add the App from the Discord App Store (search “Dark War Survival” and click the Survivor Prep” app)
Add the App to the Channel - /survivor-prep setup
Click “Channel” and add the Channel you made. Survivor-Prep

Summary
The Dark War Survival daily event is important to keep you progressing, grabbing free loot and helping score Alliance Duel points. It’s important to pace yourself and not just “go all in” for a few days. Remember, it’s every day, every week for as long as you’re playing.
