Discord Alliance Duel reminder bot
- 04 Apr, 2026
The Alliance Duel Weekly event consists of a daily set of tasks to score points vs another alliance in your league. Leagues are ranked Gold, Silver and Bronze; ranking within them is dependent on your alliance allies completing events and scoring points. You can be promoted from Bronze up through to Gold based on performance. Equally, perform badly and get demoted down a league. Progressively higher leagues have slightly increased rewards. It’s important to remind your team to get these tasks completed each day.
It’s important, both as a player and alliance leader(R4 or R5), to keep reminding your alliance members about the importance of this weekly event. If you are a F2P or low-spend player, keep focused and only use the right speedups and rss for a given task each day. This will help your alliance rank better for the event and, most importantly, get you the 2m points a day and the reward loot. This loot includes precision parts, orange books, advanced chip material and a variety of resources. Free and low-spend players should not be tempted “to reward dump,” eg use up all your speeds, rss, frags, etc chasing a win. Let the spenders and whales run that win hunt.
Let me be clear: the rewards difference between winning and losing isn’t actually that great. Dumping it all for one day or one week is poor resource management. Lower-level players need to be sure they can deliver the 2m every day, consistently. Not just one or two blowout weeks.
The Z-War Alliance Duel and Survivor prep reminder apps will help you keep focused on what matters, save smart, win big.
Z-War Alliance Duel Reminder Bot
This is a simple daily Alliance Duel reminder and task list app for Discord and the web. Simply add this to your Discord channel, and your team gets daily automated reminders. There is a supporting web page for non-Discord users, which is also home to the .ics download to add to your Google or device calendars.
All the Z-War bots utilise minimal access rights to your Guild channel and, where needed, use OTP codes to limit the risks of “unwanted access”.

Setup Guide
The install is super simple; first head over to the Discord app store and search “Dark War Survival” - the Z-War Discord bots will be listed there. Select the Allied Duel Bot and install it on your server.
Create an Alliance Duel Channel
Head back to your server and make a channel to post the reminders in, eg., #Alliance-Duel. The channel is best left open and public on the server due to the minimal permissions of the bot.
Type /duel setup channel and click the public channel name you want it to post in.
However, if you make a private channel, then do the following;
Additional Step for Private Channels
If you use a private channel for your Alliance Duel posts, you will need to manually add the bot to that channel
- Open #private-channel-name.
- Click Add members or roles.
- Search for Z-War Allied Duel and add it (the bot member or its role).
- Save.
Alternatively, via channel settings:
- Channel gear → Permissions.
- Add members or roles → Z-War BGB.
- Allow:
- View Channel
- Send Messages
- Embed Links (reminders and the report link message use embeds)
- Save.
Once you have added it to your private channel or you’ve used the standard public channel
To test or catch up, type
/ duel post-now
This is the initial post - the weekly overview; this normally posts on a Sunday as a “heads up” and week ahead reminder.

No special permission is needed; only view channels and send messages.
Daily Reminders
The alliance duel bot then posts an update every day for that day’s task list. It cleans up the channel to keep things clean; no housekeeping for the mods. This is a set-and-forget reminder tool, my favourite kind!

This can also be accessed from the app, which links to the web page.
Alliance Duel Web Page
As with all the Z-War Discord bots, there is an accompanying web page.
Here’s the page link: Alliance Duel Web Reminder
The web page is useful for both non-Discord users and those where Discord is blocked, something I only recently discovered. Just like the Survivor Prep Discord app, the web pages also carry a link to the “.ics” file. A quick way to add the events and tasks to your device calendar for reminders. The game app reminders are very unreliable for me, and sometimes my phone even “sleeps” the Discord app, but my local calendar always pops a reminder so I don’t miss anything - especially Survivor prep
Summary
The Alliance Duel Discord bot does its own housekeeping – a real “set and forget” helper. Updates will be pushed if the events change in future. If you need help, head over to the Z-War Discord channel and say hi.
I would also add that if you have any ideas or comments on how to make this better for players and alliance leaders, join our Discord and let us know!
