DWS Allied Duel Event - Ultimate Guide
- 12 Aug, 2026
Allied Duel is the weekly event cycle you will quickly become accustomed to. Each day consists of a series of tasks to score points. The minimum point tally is 2m for all the rewards, and every R4/R5 will be preaching that and asking you to “Push” at certain points. Let’s review the event in full;
Every day has a series of tasks you can choose to score points for the day. It’s worth mentioning you can kill “two birds with one stone” (a popular British idiom) by synchronising with Survivor prep throughout the day to match your Allied Duel task. This ensures minimum usage of precious or high-value items and resources, whilst scoring maximum points and a double haul of rewards.
It’s important to save your resources for these specific events to ensure you gain maximum rewards for both yourself and your alliance.
Z-War Allied Duel Tool Kit
The Z-War toolkit has a couple of things to help you and your alliance keep track of things. A web page tracker for any non-Discord members. This tracks the event tasks each day. It has useful tips and list of tasks to help you plan ahead.
You can find this here: Allied Duel Web Tracker

Calendar Import
There is also a useful .ics file you can add to your calendar app for the week:ics file is a universal calendar file format used to store and share meeting requests, appointments, and event details

Z-War Allied Duel Discord App
Another great tool that’s really quick and easy to set up is the Allied Duel Discord reminder app. As with all the Z-War apps and tools, they’re all built from the ground up by a game enthusiast. Each has only the minimal amount of permissions and no logins required.

If you’ve ever had your Discord guild attacked (and there have been a few recently [June 2026-July 2026] - entire guilds wiped), you’ll know that once it’s breached, it’s a lot of work to recover, usually with all the history lost. Building trust in a community takes time, and it’s with this in mind that all the Z-War bots work without Discord admin rights; sharing and admin controls are handled by OTP (one-time passwords)

DWS Allied Duel Essential Guide
The Allied Duel is the essential weekly alliance event in Dark War Survival — and if you want to climb the ranks, stockpile Wisdom Medals to boost advanced research, which will power up your troops, siege attacks and field attacks. Understanding exactly how it works and how to max points is non‑negotiable.
Every Monday through Saturday, your entire alliance is matched against a single rival alliance of comparable strength, and over six themed days you compete head‑to‑head for daily wins, chest rewards, and the overall duel victory.
For new(er) players, Allied Duel can feel overwhelming at first — the point numbers look huge, the daily themes change completely every 24 hours, and it’s not always obvious what actually counts toward your score. Early on, F2P players should aim for a minimum of 1m points; if you can hit 2m, that’s even better. It will help you progress and grow faster.
For intermediate players, the problem is different: you know the basics, but you’re leaving points on the table because you don’t have a full plan for the day. You should be hitting 2m every day now. You are the core of your alliance.
This guide is built from verified in‑game data and cross‑checked against the live weekly task checklist. It covers exactly how scoring works, what earns points on each day, the critical difference between early and late‑game strategy, and the pre‑event preparation that separates casual participants from top contributors.
New or Early Game Player Allied Duel
There is a research tree called Duel; this research tree is one you need to work on early game in Seasons 1 and 2, possibly even into 3. This tree specifically increases the points you score and the rewards you earn from the Allied Duel Event. The final level is a 2x chest reward. Full maxed bonuses listed below;

Yes its expensive, especially as you get to the final few stages, but the bonus boosts stack for every event, every day, every week thereafter. The Wisdom Medals you earn are critical to help you research the advanced tech in Joint Ops and Factions trees. You also pick up Gold Hero Frags, Power Cores, Orange Training Books, Advanced Chip Material, Precision Parts and Lucky Hero chests. All these things help you score points and progress with subsequent events.
The DWS Allied Duel Calendar 6 Day Plan
- Monday -Shelter Expansion ( Precision Parts, Research & Gathering)
- Tuesday - Hero Initiative (Hero & Exclusive Gun Frags)
- Wednesday - Keep Progressing (Troop Training & Hero Gear)
- Thursday - Arms Expert (Precision Parts, Truck Upgrades and Boomers)
- Friday - Holistic Growth (All of the above)
- Saturday - Enemy Buster (Kill Event)
The Event League
It’s important to contribute to your alliance score as well as getting your own rewards and personal progression. The Allied Duel leagues are Bronze, Silver & Gold. This system is to ensure a more balanced match, but that’s a loose and fluid situation. You will be matched with both weaker and stronger opponents. Just accept that you cannot win them all.
It can be better for morale to win more in Silver League (and dodge promotion to Gold) than to sit in Gold, win a couple of rounds and have to play “hit n run” in the Enemy Buster. Most egos don’t allow this; be smart, think it through, look at what’s best for the majority of your team.
League rank weighting favours winning or losing in the first 2 weeks more than weeks 3 or 4.
This weighting is key to avoid promotion out of Silver - if you intend to “Hold” there whilst your alliance grows or recruits more players, but you can also employ this in Gold League to dodge the usual “Whale” alliance.
Allied Duel Prep & Planning
It pays to think about the week ahead and plan for upgrades to score points. Save that tower or camp upgrade, as those CPs score valuable points. Sit on that truck upgrade; Titanium is another high-value resource scoring great points. My point is to hold upgrades until they score points in VS, for you and the team. This gives you maximum freebies for minimal spend. This gets a little more complex when you think about the synchronisation with the Survivor Preparedness event too. This will be something you learn to do without thinking after a while. Just consider your upgrade plan for each day. Hint: Tuesdays are a pig!
A few rules to carry you every day, every week
Do 20 boomers MINIMUM a day. They give purple frags, speed-ups (healing ones too), Coins, rss & rubies
If you can do more - do them, burn all your free energy every day. This keeps you supplied with speed-ups, coins for research and lots of free rubies.
Do your 130 or 150 Tora, Thief, Guard or whatever label is on them for your season. They give gold frags, recruitment tokens and whatever the season resource is.
Collect all your freebies; gifts; donate to your alliance research - buys speed-ups, shields and TP in the alliance store.
Do all your “Lantern Tasks” -
- Dark Zone Ops - complete each task as they occur daily; spend tokens in the store
- Dark Syndicate - 3 or 4 Trucks - Loot the same, purple or gold
- “Cap Beast” - the name changes, but it’s 4 hits on the beast in the middle
- Shadow Calls - make sure to keep a few purples at lvl 60
- Arena - bait and switch every day, except Mondays. Honour points are valuable!
- Rise Against Giants - use auto rally, and if you and your team follow 20 a day, this is easy
- Daily Tasks - get these done for 20 free precision parts + other goodies
Daily Grind Factors
Sunday - Preparation
The first day is technically Monday, but to score points early, you need to start the day before. Sunday preparation involves sending out your trucks to arrive AFTER reset. The whole research tree for Resource Gathering is another topic, but long-term it will help you fight consistently and longer. BGB, CAP Clash and Enemy Buster can eat 3-700m of each RSS quite easily. Gathering resources like an obsessed squirrel should be the norm!
- Gather Every Day, Not Just Mondays - Fight longer and Harder in PvP wars
- To get the timing right, what time do you logon AFTER reset?
- How long does it take to gather a full 7 or 8 tile for you? (get to 8s asap if you’re in early game)
Working out Gather Start Time
If you normally log on at Server + 2, then work back from here so you finish gathering up to an hour before this time. eg ST 00:00+2 - 11hrs (gathering time) - You need to send your trucks at 18:00 ST - whatever that translates to your local time.
Monday - Gathering + Construction
Mondays are about gathering all day. This starts by sending all trucks out before reset, as highlighted above. If you have 4 trucks, send 4, but still activate the “auto rallying” option before logging off. It will still be active when your trucks come back.
As soon as you log in again, after reset, refresh/resend your trucks. You don’t need to bring them home; just move to another fresh node. As you move, the points are registered. You will likely get another two runs through the day, depending on your real-life commitments. The final run for gathering should come back before reset. Use the method explained above: reset time - gather time = send time.
Obviously, do any upgrade to shelter you may have waiting; precision parts score big, 2700 points per part. Synchronise this with Survivor Prep - Shelter Expansion 00:00-04:00 ST or 20:00 - 00:00. If you can’t make these times, use the “change ” option if you can. It’s worth the bonus.
- Gathering - before and during the day
- Building Upgrades - get your tower, camps, plaza, guild upgrades in today. (and Friday)
- Wisdom Medals - Duel (finish for x2), Joint Ops and Factions.
- Save Radar for tomorrow!
Use your Survivor Prep “change/refresh” for Construction if you have the parts available; extra points for Survivor Prep and Allied Duel.
Tuesday - Hero Expansion
This, for me, is the worst day; point scoring is limited to hero frags and radars, which you saved from yesterday, right? The way to have lots of frags available is only to upgrade the important Heroes. Early on, you’ll upgrade all you can. However, look at heroes’ 3rd skills to see who is really useful long term. This is too much to cover here, so put simply, only work hard on F1 and F2 heroes. Shooters or Fighters.
The Survivor Prep double boost today is Hero Initiative 00:00-04:00 and 20:00-00:00, plus your free flip/extra from the monthly pass. Cash in here: extra points and loot for working the system.
If you pay even a little, you’ll know that Exclusive Gun frags offer powerful upgrades. Resist the temptation to upgrade as soon as you get them. Use them on Tuesday and Friday to get the most event rewards.
You should be aware that you obtain 1 gold frag from 130-level Toras/Guards/Yeti or whatever the season label is; 150 gives 2. Get your big players to help out and get these valuable rewards daily. These free frags accumulate over time. You will get 3 new S-Class heroes every season, and you will need 2 of them (956 Gold Frags to 5* per hero - so consistent freebies help a lot!)
Hitting regular boomers gives purple frags, good for spending on Tuesday, especially for Faction/Hero bonuses once you get to 5* and they enter the hall of fame.
Don’t waste universal gold frags in the hall of fame; save these for new hero upgrades and getting your F1 & F2 heroes to 5* asap.
Always useful to use some Prime Recruits, 100 at a time, for combined Survivor prep scoring.
- Radar Events
- Exclusive Equipment Frags
- Prime Recruits
- Orange Frags
- Purple Frags
- Blue Frags
Use your Survivor Prep “change/refresh” for Hero Initiative if you have the frags/ rectruits available; extra points for Survivor Prep and Allied Duel.
Wednesday - Keep Progressing
This used to have more limited options, but now includes Syndicate trucks, Hero Gear Lucky Chests, Shadow Calls, power cores, DX Prints, truck chip chests, titanium alloy, design blueprints, and troop training. If you have saved upgrades, done your Franky, dailies, etc, this should be a case of picking what you upgrade. Troop training is a safety net for points if you’re lacking other upgrades.
The Survivor Prep double boost today is Unit Training 00:00-04:00 and 20:00-00:00, plus your free flip/extra from the monthly pass. Cash in here: extra points and loot as ever.
- Save Radars for tomorrow
- Dark Syndicate - refresh for S-Class today, for easy points
- Shadow Calls - refresh to S-Class Trucks; Super Refresh and Super Dispatch for speed.
- Lucky Equipment Chests - 40 for a single Survivor Prep task
- Power cores - more points if used in Red Gear Slots
- DX-Prints - rare but score massive points
- Troop Training - promote any low-level troops before training more
Use your Survivor Prep “change/refresh” for Unit Training if you have the troop speedups available; extra points for Survivor Prep and Allied Duel.
Thursday - Arms Expert
Your fallback today is Boomers, and lots of them. You can team up and “multi rally” Boomers so you can hit higher levels. Most of your bigger players will be happy to help and lead so you can score more and get more rewards. It’s also a great team-building exercise. Early game players should also use this team ethic to get the roamers to 40. What seems like a tough call today will soon be easy as you upgrade and complete research.
The Survivor Prep double boost today is, well, different. You won’t get the same stack we had for the first three days. You can opt for extra Shelter Expansion if you’re pushing tower progress, or use up gears and truck Chip Chests. Get these in the VIP shop (10 Blue Chests - 10k rubies), the Dark Zone Store.
Your initial quick win is to smash out the Radar you saved from yesterday. The first Survivor Prep task is Age of Science and not helpful to the Allied Duel score, so worth skipping or flipping to Shelter Expansion or Arms Expert to get both event points and loot.
The big point wins today are truck upgrades, either opening truck chip chests or upgrades and gears. The Titanium and Chip chests are both rare and expensive, which means more points. You get Titanium from Zombie Siege (or whatever it’s called in the current season) and Derelict Mod Plant in the Dark Zone ops.
- Radar - you did save them yesterday, right?
- Truck Chip Chest - opening only, not the materials
- Gears - you should have loads from boomers
- Titanium Alloy - rare, needs planning
- Design Blueprints - use with above anyway
- Precision Parts - Another day to progress key buildings
- Boomers - team up and bag the highest levels
- Speeds for Construction, Research & Training score low - only use what’s needed to complete tasks within the Survivor Prep scope.
Use your Survivor Prep “change/refresh” for Arms Expert if you have the Truck Chips chests, gears, or Shelter Expansion if you have precision parts available; extra points for Survivor Prep and Allied Duel.
Friday - Holistic Growth
Today is a “minestrone” day; it’s pretty much everything works to score. You can get points for Pet upgrades, but I’ve found them really poor value, despite a recent update adding “value”. I wouldn’t be banking on this.
- Pet Upgrades
- Titanium Alloy - rare, needs planning
- Design Blueprints - use with above anyway
- Precision Parts - Another day to progress key buildings
- Power cores - more points if used in Red Gear Slots
- DX-Prints - rare but score massive points
- Exclusive Equipment Frags
- Orange Frags
- Purple Frags
- Blue Frags
- Wisdom Medals - Duel (finish for x2), Joint Ops and Factions.
If you are meticulous with daily events and activities in the other events, you will have enough to score your 2m points today. It’s more about synchronising these with Survival Prep to gain the maximum loot. It is worth noting that Monday and Friday are good for research boosts.
Use your Survivor Prep “change/refresh” for whatever you have available or where you want to push. Its important to score the points; just work out what works best for Survivor Prep and Allied Duel today.
IMPORTANT: War starts at reset today. You must shield at tall times, even if you are online. If you do not, you will get raided, all your troops killed and any resources above warehouse cap taken. Sheild before you log off. Set an alarm on your phone for when it expires - repeat throught the day.
Saturday - Enemy Buster
War starts at reset, and you should expect a horde of raiders and hunters, so make sure you have shields on throughout the day. If you’re fighting, go in packs so you can defend each other. You may be lucky enough to have an active Whale or Whales, but don’t get complacent. Shadow them if you can, but be prepared to bug out rather than get hammered and give away points.
Defend The Hive
If you’re not going out hunting, you can earn points defending the hive. Stay shielded and use your strongest truck to defend. Don’t send weak trucks; all that does is give away points. Points are scored from the number of kills; weaker trucks die faster and give more points. Just read the situation and don’t give away too much.
Truck fights are a good way to score points; just try to pick an opponent other than your allied duel one. Why? They are only going to fight you if they can win. If it’s your AD opponent, you’re feeding them points to win the day overall. You can always port to the opponent’s server and find another alliance ot have truck fights with.
Teamwork
Try to hunt in a pack; solo players are easy to repel. Ever had that feeling when 10 enemy bases rock up, and you don’t know where to start as there are only 6 of you online? This is why you hunt as a pack: hard to deal with, and you can farm reinforced bases for points. It also builds that elusive team bond.
Work together - find targets. Learn not to burn bases; it’s important if you’re trying to loot. It used to be easy to send all 4 trucks to empty a base; now it’s tricky with one due to the lock-in and short lead time to withdraw.
Rallys & Boomers
One of the most annoying things is players who log on and start firing off rallies, like they do every day. They didn’t check to see if there were any enemies at the hive, just waiting to kill your rally. This will both give away a lot of points and annoy your colleagues. It will also give you big healing bills.
You should always be scanning the hive during KE; run your rallies in between raids when you can. Don’t send out radars without looking either!
Capital Clash & State of Supremacy
These events run 3 out of 4 weeks, so you can usually pick up your kills requirement for the 9 Chests/2m points threshold. The Capital events also give their own rewards, so it’s a great double win if you can participate. A good tip here is to max out your defence (swap all troops to match F1); this maxes your gate defence level. Port to cap and wait to get hit. A couple of hits and you’ll have your points. You may get ported; it’s not a big deal, as Capital events will have cheap healing, and SoS has a state hospital (free healing at reset), so as a consequence, it’s as free as it gets,
And Finally…
This is a weekly event; pace yourself. There is no need to throw down 10, 15, 20m points days. Yes, some do; P2W players have the funds and resources to chase big upgrades and fast growth. Scoring 2m points gets you the same rewards as 20m points. Except you wasted 10 days of resources to get nothing back in terms of loot. If you have upgrades or growth plans you want to hit, then obviously do what you have to. Just remember of the coming months, you need to make your points every week, every month.
