Use the tool to allocate crews and objectives, who goes where and when. Assign your “free roam” or QRF (Quick Reaction Force). Maximise your scoring potential and keep your team focused on the prize. Its important to plan to score as many points as you can from initial captures. Then move the stronger players to take the Hospitals and Military bases for the extra points and buffs. The move to capture and take the Rare Earth home, or at least stop your opponents from getting it home! However, if you do not communicate this, your plans will lead nowhere. This is where the Z-War BGB planner and Discord App help you do this quickly and communicate in-game, in your Discord Guild and via a webpage for those non-Discord users. ### **Install The BGB Discord App** The Discord app automates the posting of teams and objectives, its not required to use the Z-War BGB tool, it just adds simple reporting/posting functions. Goto your guild, click at the top and click “app directory ” from the drop-down menu. Once in the directory, upper left search bar type “Dark War Survival” , you will now see a couple of other apps and at least 4 Z-War apps. ![Discord app store - Dark War Survival Apps]() We want the BGB app for this guide, so locate and click that. Select which server you want to add it to (if you have more than one!) and follow the install dialogue. _As with all the Z-War Discord apps and bots, the permissions are very few; in fact, always the minimum to make them work. This ensures you're not giving admin rights to a new (and as yet unproven) developer and the risk that might have. Yes, I have seen Discord bots hijacked and entire guilds taken over, deleted or spammed._ **Create a BGB Channel** Use something obvious like “BGB Crews & Targets”. The channel is best left open and public on the server due to the minimal permissions of the bot. ​ However, if you made a private channel, you will have to manually add the Bot/role to that channel; **Additional Step for Private Channels** If you use a _private channel_ for your BGB posts, you will need to manually add the bot to that channel * Open #private-channel-name. * Click Add members or roles. * Search for Z-War BGB and add it (the bot member or its role). * Save. Alternatively, via channel settings: * Channel gear → Permissions. * Add members or roles → Z-War BGB. * Allow: * View Channel * Send Messages * Embed Links (reminders and the report link message use embeds) * Save. ![]() Once you have added the bot to your chosen channel and added any extra roles as described above. Go to the channel and use the Discord “slash” command; `/bgb-report setup` This will prompt for a Channel - _click your BGB channel._ A link code will also be generated. Copy this code and paste it into the Z-War App in the reports section. _**Save the link code. **_ So now you can use the web tool to set up your Crews, assign them to objectives, etc and post that to Discord.
